Some Facts about me...
I have been taking photos of South Florida weddings since 2016. As a wedding photographer, I get to use my creative energy to serve amazing couples, all while being my own boss and having fun with great people! I have always been creative, but photography spoke to me as a way to capture the most important moments in someone’s life. As a mom of three, I’ve learned the importance of capturing all of the little moments in life through photos that you can look back on. Photos help you cherish those memories and can bring back moments that would otherwise be gone.
Having my first child is what pushed me to become a truly successful professional wedding photographer. I wanted to make my kids proud and prove that you can follow your passion in life and be a successful person at the same time. I attended workshops, invested in my education, and became the amazing photographer that I am today. Being a photographer also gives me the ability to work with people that I really connect with and still be there for all three of my beautiful daughters.
When I’m not out taking photos of a wedding day, I stay busy providing the best life I can for my kids. We visit parks, museums, dance class, gymnastics, and other fun and active spots.

I met Mike while working at a local restaurant. I had zero tables that night and I remember him coming in to sit down with some friends. As soon as I saw him I knew I wanted his babies one day. Creepy? Maybe...But we did make the cutest babies in the end! 😝

We first called Maggie in March of 2021 to book her for our wedding in February of 2022.. her portfolio of work spoke for itself and she was the one vendor we couldn't go without. We spoke about the photos my now husband and I were looking for briefly and booked her immediately. She offered an engagement session to meet her and get to know us a little bit, upon booking, but since we had our photos taken already, we regretfully declined. We maintained contact just to check in with each other until the day of the wedding. The day of, she showed up on her contracted time, was extremely professional and so so amazing to work with. My husband, myself and my mother fell in love with Maggie's fun personality, eye for detail and passion for what she does. We also met her second shooter Sammi, whom we also loved.. They were extremely easy to work with and made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera as I have never been photographed by someone i didn't know. I could not have asked for a better team to photograph such an important moment in our lives. A few days after the wedding, we got our preview gallery and was amazed at the perfection of every picture. When we got our full album, i was floored at the amount of details of the day, that I honestly wouldn't have seen or remembered from the actual wedding day. I recommend Maggie Alvarez for any life event you need photographed, not just a wedding. These are pictures i will hold on to for the rest of my life and show future generations of our family. I will always also hold a special place in my heart for Maggie for capturing such a perfect day in the most perfect way.

Maggie photographed our wedding and my wife and I were absolutely blown away. She is a uniquely creative style that seems to capture moments perfectly.

There isn’t a set number of photos you will receive in a wedding gallery. I will deliver all of the best images that I capture! On average, you will receive about 100 images per one hour of coverage, but there will be more if there is a second photographer with me! So if I cover 8 hours of your wedding day, you can expect to receive about 800 photos.
My one hour sessions include between 60 - 80 images!

How many photos will I get back?
You will receive your wedding photos in 6-8 weeks...occasionally 10 weeks if it's busy season.
You will receive your photos from one-hour engagement or lifestyle sessions in 2 weeks.

What gear do you use?
Once you’ve decided that I’m the one for you, I email you an invoice to pay the 35% retainer fee and a contract for you to read over and sign! That’s it. After I’m officially yours for your wedding day, we can schedule your engagement session if the package you selected includes one. :)
What’s required to book you?
YESSSSS! I love them. Intimate weddings definitely have my heart. It’s always extra special to be able to document your special day without all the chaos of a big wedding.
Do you shoot intimate weddings?
I am Florida-based, but I travel worldwide! I’ll always take an opportunity to capture a wedding in a different state, or even country! Bring me all the mountaintop elopements—I’m so ready for it!
